Prof. Yannis Charalabidis Appointed Track Chair at ICEGOV on…
The Information Systems Laboratory (IS-Lab) is proud to announce that Prof. Yannis Charalabidis, Director of IS-Lab at the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering, University of the Aegean, serves as Track Chair at the prestigious ICEGOV (International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance), organized by the United Nations University (UNU-EGOV).
Prof. Charalabidis co-leads Track 5: “Harnessing Emerging Technologies for Smarter and More Efficient Public Services”, a core thematic stream addressing how disruptive digital innovations transform public administration and state operations worldwide.
Focus on Next-Generation Public Sector Innovation
Track 5 invites leading scholars, digital governance experts, and policymakers to investigate the real-world operational and administrative deployment of cutting-edge technologies, including:
- Artificial Intelligence & Autonomous Systems: Algorithmic accountability, ethical governance, and AI-enabled decision support in public administration.
- Robotics, UAVs & IoT: Practical integrations of unmanned aerial vehicles, sensors, and smart robotics in municipal and central government services.
