MITOS

The National Registry of Administrative Procedures (NRAP) “Mitos” is an information system aimed at creating a registry for managing the procedures of public services and entities. Specifically:

  • It will enable the recording, documentation, and modeling of existing administrative procedures of public services and entities, as well as the registration of the required supporting documents, in collaboration with the relevant departments of these entities.

  • It will incorporate a mechanism for continuous updating of procedures to support the legislator’s goal: “the continuous maintenance of the National Registry of Administrative Procedures of the Greek Public Administration and its exclusive updating with simplification changes.”

  • It will serve as a prerequisite and precursor to the separate project of procedure simplification, which aims to eliminate or reduce the necessary steps and/or required documents.

Expected Benefits

  • Procedures followed by public entities will be documented, integrating the legal/regulatory framework governing them.

  • The execution and delivery of procedures will be standardized, ensuring uniform implementation across all responsible services.

  • The structure and execution of provided services will become more transparent.

  • Inefficiencies will be identified, leading to process simplification and the elimination of inactive procedures.

  • The reliability of public entities will increase.

  • The quality of service for end users (citizens, businesses, public entities) will improve.

  • Work hours spent on citizen inquiries and issue resolution will be reduced.

  • Citizen access to the appropriate service channels for each procedure (digital platforms, public offices, Citizen Service Centers – KEP) will be facilitated.
