The AegeanRobotics team of the University of the Aegean is supported by the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering. It was founded in 2013 and currently consists of University lecturers, doctoral candidates, postgraduate and undergraduate students.
The team has organized 4 robotic schools in Samos as well as training seminars on the four islands of the University (Samos, Chios, Syros, Lesbos). It organizes remotely robotics and new technologies seminars and has an active participation in conferences and exhibitions presenting its projects. It has taken part in three international competitions and has organized one in collaboration with the Mexican Robotics Federation.
Since 2017, it organizes the Aegean Robotics Competition, a pan-Hellenic educational robotics competition.
