The AegeanRobotics team of the Polytechnic School of the University of the Aegean is supported by the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering. It was founded in 2013 and currently consists of University lecturers, PhD candidates, postgraduate and undergraduate students. 

The team has organized robotics schools in Samos, as well as on 4 islands of the university (Samos, Chios, Syros, Lesvos). It organizes distance learning seminars on robotics and new technologies. Actively participates in conferences and exhibitions where it presents its projects. It has taken part in 4 international competitions, while it has organized one at IROS and one in collaboration with the Mexican Federation of Robotics. Since 2017, it has organized the pan-Hellenic educational robotics competition Aegean Robotics Competition.
