The University of the Aegean actively participated in the PRAXI Network event held within the framework of DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens 2025, with the presence of the Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Associate Professor Petros Kavassalis, highlighting the critical role of 𝒂𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 in the fields of 𝒅𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚.
The event brought forward key themes:
✅ the promotion of technological innovation in the strategic defence sector,
✅ the connection between scientific knowledge and industrial application,
✅ and the opportunities for funding through the EU and the NATO Innovation Fund.
Bringing together representatives from the research, business, and policy-making communities, the event fostered a constructive dialogue on leveraging innovation to strengthen the national and European defence ecosystem.
